our Mission

Save and restore coral reefs through autonomous reef restoration. Our robot ReefRanger will accomplish tasks that are otherwise labor-intensive and time-consuming in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Goals

Safety and reliabilty
Soft interaction with corals
Scaling up coral restoration
AI powered autonomy

Tasks

ReefRanger will accomplish 3 tasks autonomously.
Feed the coral reef.
Remove algae from nursery structures.
Administer probiotics to the corals.

Coral Reef Restoration

Coral reefs are important to both marine ecosystems and human life. They support 25% of all marine species, acting as a crucial habitat for fish and other sea life. Reefs protect coastlines from the impact of waves, storms and erosion.

Additionally, they act as vital carbon sinks and are a source of potential medical breakthroughs. Despite their importance, coral reefs face threats from climate change, pollution, and overfishing.

Restoring coral reefs starts with nurseries where small coral fragments will grow until they big enough to be outplanted.

Coral reefs can be restored, bringing back marine life and establishing a healthy ecosystem.
